Liverpool want to bolster attack with capture of £22m-rated pacy forward

Liverpool could allegedly move for Watford star Ismaila Sarr, following their relegation to the EFL Championship.

Clubs who will be playing PL football next season are expected to raid the Hornets, Norwich and Bournemouth of their most prized assets as they eye cut-price deals.

Ismaila is undoubtedly one of the best players to have faced the drop this campaign and he has been a shining light throughout his side’s continuous troubles and instability.

Gary Neville described him as a “big talent” and Sarr catapulted his name into stardom when he put the Reds to the sword in February, scoring twice to inflict their first PL defeat of the season.

That’s why it comes as no surprise to see the Reds linked with a move for the 22-year-old, who was visibly upset after the Hornets’ relegation was confirmed following the 3-2 defeat at Arsenal.

He has all the qualities manager Jurgen Klopp looks for in a wide attacker and it is a transfer strategy they have followed before when signing Gini Wijnaldum (Newcastle) Xherdan Shaqiri (Stoke) and Andy Robertson (Hull) following relegation.

Ismaila to burn and has terrorised full-backs including Andy Robertson this term. While he is far from the finished article, his raw attributes make the star an attractive project for a coach like Klopp who relished player development.

Should the German tactician wish to pursue a deal for the youngster, he has the perfect middle man to help the player in the form of Sadio Mane.
