Los Blancos keep a close eye on £100,000-a-week Liverpool forward
Los Blancos have reportedly told Liverpool that they will need to include Sadio Mane in any deal to bring Marco Asensio to Anfield this transfer window.
Rumours linking the European champions with a £67m move for Spain international have gathered pace in recent days, with German manager understood to be keen to strengthen his squad in depth ahead of an expected Premier League title challenge next campaign.
Zinedine Zidane also wants to sign new top-class forward to improve the front-line.Mane joined the Merseyside club from Southampton in 2016 with a €42m deal. He is one of the best attackers in the Premier League and a key figure for the club. In this season, Sadio played 50 games, scored 26 goals and provided five assists in all competitions.
It is a fantastic consequence and he can improve his results during the next campaign. The 27-year-old winger has contracted with the English club until 2023 and his release clause is around €120m.
He is a regular member of the national team line-up and also helped them to reach the semi-final in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations which is already a big success for the footballer. Real Madrid had terrible results in this season as they finished La Liga in a third position and knocked out from the Champions League and Copa del Rey.
Spanish club signed Man City attacker Brahim Diaz during the winter transfer window. Los Blancos also added Eden Hazard from Chelsea, Luka Jovic from Eintracht Frankfurt, Rodrygo Goes from Santos, Eder Militao from Porto and Ferland Mendy from Lyon this summer.
