Man United are closely monitoring €75m-rated Serie A playmaker
Juventus superstar Paulo Dybala has aimed a bit of a dig at both Red Devils and Tottenham as he addressed transfer rumours about him leaving his current club during the summer. The 25-year-old attacker ended up staying in Turin and has started the new campaign pretty well amid some talk that he might struggle to play as much under Sarri.
Paulo didn’t have his best campaign for the Bianconeri last year, so it’s little surprise to see his future came into some doubt during the summer, and he could undoubtedly have strengthened these struggling Man United and Spurs sides. Both these Premier League teams were in for Dybala but failed to add him.
“It wasn’t an easy summer,” Argentina international said.“Hearing your name linked to every team and every place where you don’t want to go, isn’t a nice thing. “But this is football, even if before the transfer window opened I said: ‘I want to stay here.’”
Argentina star would surely have been an upgrade on the likes of Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial up front and could have given Tottenham a lift after their slow start to the campaign. Paulo joined the Old Lady from Palermo in 2015 with a €40m deal. He became a key figure for the club and scored many incredible goals since joining.
Dybala has contracted with the Juventus until 2022, and his release clause is around €75m. He is a regular member of the national team and also played in the 2018 World Cup which is already a big success for the attacker.
