Man United enter the battle to sign 27-year-old Brazilian attacker
Premier League sides Red Devils, Blues and Foxes have all contacted Philippe Coutinho’s agent ahead of a summer move. Newcastle United, who are close to being taken over by a consortium led by mega-rich Saudi Arabians, have registered an unofficial interest in Brazil international.
Blaugrana are hoping to net up to £71m for Philippe, who has faced massive struggles since joining the La Liga giants. Coutinho’s marquee move to the Catalan club has been a nightmare rather than a dream. As the deal to take the 27-year-old playmaker to Spain in January 2018 was worth up to a staggering £142m.
Blaugrana are hoping to have the Brazilian playmaker sold by June 30, even though the attacker’s valuation has massively dropped you’d think that it would be unlikely for any club to make such a big-money addition while we’re amid the covid-19 pandemic.
The Brazilian attacker favours a move to Chelsea, however, he may be interested in a reunion with his ex-Liverpool coach Brendan Rodgers at Leicester. Philippe’s loan was Bayern has been relatively mixed, while his contribution of nine goals and eight assists seems stable the playmaker has just started 22 of his 32 games across all tournaments.
Since leaving Liverpool for Barcelona, Coutinho has struggled to have the impact the Spanish club would have wanted. And Philippe is likely to be sold this summer with Premier League clubs interested in his services. He is currently recovering from an ankle injury and hopes to be fit before the end of the Bundesliga campaign.
