Man United eyes shock move for 22-year-old in-demand Serb
Eintracht Frankfurt winger Mijat Gacinovic has emerged as a transfer target for Manchester United, according to reports.
The 22-year-old has been described by some fans and pundits as one of the most exciting young players in the Bundesliga.
Gacinovic has also made an impact on the international level, scoring two goals in his first three games for Serbia since being awarded a full cap.
According to The Mirror, Jose Mourinho was keeping an eye out on Gacinovic during Serbia’s World Cup qualifying game with Austria on Friday, the hosts winning 3-2 in Vienna.
Gacinovic is also believed to be on the radar of Bayern Munich and Arsenal.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are reportedly fear the wonderkid Angel Gomes may leave the club.
Back in May, Gomes became the youngest ever footballer to make an appearance for United’s first-team when aged just 16 years and 263 days, he performed in the side’s 2-0 loss at Crystal Palace.
The Sun suggest Gomes, now 17, is getting the Red Devils sweat, with the highly-rated attacking player yet to sign a new deal at Old Trafford.
It’s believed the England Under-18 international was offered a new contract upon his seventeenth birthday last month however the contract stays unsigned.
Gomes has a term left as a Scholar at Man United, and it’s believed Barcelona have been closely watching the youngster for some time.
