Man United held negotiations with €90m-rated Bundesliga playmaker

Red Devils have held talks to sign Bayer Leverkusen playmaker Kai Havertz. The report also claims that Germany international will leave Bundesliga giants at the end of the campaign and is currently negotiating with several top European clubs.

He insisted that he is capable of playing either in the Premier League or the La Liga after gaining experience in Germany. Kai came through the ranks of Bayer Leverkusen’s youth team, and since his time with the senior team, he has been in excellent form and is the team’s driving force.

In 98 Bundesliga games, Havertz has scored 28 times and registered 26 assists for Leverkusen. His excellent displays have earned him seven caps for the German national team so far.

The 20-year-old playmaker is one of the hottest youngsters across Europe, and it is justified with several European heavyweights lurking to secure his services. Premier League clubs Man City, Chelsea, Man United, and Liverpool, along with Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich are interested in him.

Meanwhile, Red Devils have been going through ups and downs in the ongoing Premier League season. They started the campaign well by beating Chelsea 4-0 but have failed to carry the momentum forward.

With a bunch of talented youngsters, Kai would certainly fit into the squad. Solskjaer often plays with youngsters who have quick feet and therefore, the German is capable of being United’s creative hub.

In Man United, Havertz can play behind the line of Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Daniel James, all of whom move fast. His key passes in the final third would be able to provide them with goalscoring opportunities.
