Man United keeping tabs on 20-year-old German midfielder
Manchester United and Arsenal have registered a transfer interest in Bayer Leverkusen rising star Kai Havertz.
The attacking midfielder is one of the brightest prospects in the Bundesliga and has caught the eye of almost every top side in the world. After netting 20 goals last campaign, Kai Havertz is expected to push for a move in the summer of 2020.
Sport 1 claims Liverpool and Manchester City are already battling for the 20-year-old and will face competition from Premier League rivals.
Barcelona and Real Madrid are also keen on Kai Havertz, and the playmaker appears set to have his pick of Europe’s biggest sides.
Bayern Munich are desperate to lure the attacking midfielder from local rivals, but Leverkusen will demand a stunning £91 million for the starlet. After watching Benfica collect £113 million for Joao Felix this summer, the Bundesliga club are confident they can require a similar fee for Kai Havertz.
While Havertz has a good relationship with his current club, the youngster is understood to be a life-long Barcelona fan.
However, Kai Havertz is yet to decide on his future and appears ready to hear out his suitors.
The spending power of Manchester United could be key, and Leverkusen are hopeful a bidding war will erupt for the services of the talented attacker, who can play through the middle or on either wing.
Kai Havertz joined Bayer Leverkusen as an eleven-year-old and has risen through the youth ranks, breaking into the first-team back in the 2016/17 season.
