Man United keeping tabs with 20-year-old England international
Borussia Dortmund have told Red Devils they have to complete the transfer of Jadon Sancho by August 10 if they want to sign him this summer. Bundesliga giants chiefs have slapped a €120m price tag on the 20-year-old winger’s head, something Man United are unwilling to match at the present time.
While Mason Greenwood’s emergence has not changed Red Devils stance in wanting to complete a deal for Jadon, they were hoping to land him for closer to £50m due to the market effects of the ongoing covid crisis. German club sees no need to sell at a cheaper price, however, and have set Red Devils a deadline to match their demands.
Borussia Dortmund’s pre-season training camp starts in Switzerland on August 10 and they want a decision to be made over Sancho’s future by then. England international is not totally convinced by a move to the Theatre of Dreams just yet either.
While he is open to a move, the English winger wants to wait to see if Red Devils secure the UCL football before he commits to signing for the PL giants. A top-four finish is very much in Man United’s grasp. They are only two points behind fourth-placed Blues and three off Foxes in third with five matches to go.
Leicester City face a tricky away trip to the Emirates Stadium to face Gunners on Tuesday night, with Blues also away at Crystal Palace, should either slip up, the Red Devils could rise into the UCL spots with a win over 18th-place Aston Villa on Thursday.
