Man United preparing to sell £300,000-a-week attacker next summer
Red Devils have ‘no intention’ of bringing Alexis Sanchez back to Theatre of Dreams, according to reports. The 30-year-old winger is on loan at Inter Milan, but injuries have restricted him to just three Serie A games. He has an injury and won’t be able to play until next year.
The Norwegian manager has decided forward has no future at Man United, and the Red Devils are hopeful a permanent transfer can be arranged next summer. Alexis had few suitors last summer due to his huge wages, but Red Devils committed to paying £300,000 each week to his wages at Nerazzurri.
Man United are desperate to offload Sanchez, even though they have found themselves seriously light in the attacker department this campaign. Injuries to Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial has forced Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to call upon Mason Greenwood from the academy, but Red Devils intend to correct that issue in winter.
Mario Mandzukic has been heavily linked with a switch to Man United in winter as he continues to be frozen out at Juventus. RB Salzburg centre-forward Erling Haaland is believed to be Norwegian coach’s No.1 target upfront, but any move for the 19-year-old striker will have to wait until next summer.
Red Devils have also been linked with Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson and are being tipped for a busy winter compared to their closest rivals. Norwegian tactician wants to bolster the front-line and ready to spend considerable money during the summer transfer window. Chile international is a regular member of the national team line-up.
