Man United set to make audacious big-money move for Barcelona star man

Manchester United are supposedly readying a big-money offer for Barcelona keeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

The Red Devils are set to trigger the Germany international’s release clause with an offer of €180m (£156m) in the summer, as reported by the Don Balon.

United head coach Jose Mourinho is believed to be targeting Ter Stegen as a possible replacement for David de Gea, who continues to be linked with Real Madrid.

The Premier League giants could face competition for the stopper’s signature, as previous stories suggest that German champions Bayern Munich are also preparing to make a move for him at the end of the campaign.

Ter Stegen has played more than 70 games for Barca since joining the club from Borussia Monchengladbach in 2014.

Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid are set to offer Antoine Griezmann a new contract worth more than £300,000-a-week, reports The Daily Mirror.

The France International only signed a massive new Atletico deal last summer however the Frenchman has been tipped to leave at the end of the term.

Barcelona and Manchester United are watching the 27-year-old’s future in Madrid. However, Diego Simeone’s side are not going down without a fight.

Atletico are determined to secure Griezmann’s long-term future and are willing to break the bank to keep their No.7.

It stays to be seen whether forward will agree to the new terms however it could be a massive blow to Barcelona and United’s summer transfer methods.

The attacker struggled to rediscover his best form at the start of the season but has exploded into life since the turn of the season.

Of the 18 league goals, the Frenchman has netted this term, 13 have been converted in 2018. Moreover, only Cristiano Ronaldo (19) and Lionel Messi (14) have netted more in Europe’s top five division in that time.
