Man Utd eyeing move for former Tottenham Hotspur forward
Manchester United have reportedly renewed their interest in securing the services of Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale.
The 31-year-old dropped hint last week that he would be open to departing from the Spanish champions and that he was on the verge to doing so last summer, only for the team to make it “very tough” for him to move away.
The Los Blancos head-coach, Zinedine Zidane does not consider Welsh attacker part of his first-team plans for the upcoming campaign, though, and Spanish champions are believed to be willing to listen to offers for his signature ahead of the next season.
The 20-times English champions have regularly been rumoured with the Wales international in the past, and Marca claims that they have now revived their interest ahead of the possible move to Old Trafford.
The Red Devils are known to be in the market for a new attacker and still reckon Jadon Sancho as their No.1 transfer target, however, the deal yet to be agreed between the two parties.
Bale’s wages could also be a stumbling block in any negotiations for a departure from Santiago Bernabeu, though, with those thought to have priced Tottenham out of a potential bid for their ex-player.
Bale played just 12 La Liga games last campaign, founding back of the net twice as the Los Blancos regained the title.
