Milan started negotiations with 27-year-old Arsenal loanee
Serie A giants AC Milan are interested in making a move for Gunners midfielder Mohamed Elneny in winter, as a footballer is currently on loan at Besiktas. The report claims that Rossoneri are willing to make a €15m move for the 27-year-old midfielder to bolster their squad.
It’s added that Mohamed could act as a replacement for star Franck Kessie, who has been heavily linked with a move away recently. Elneny is already looking for a move away from the Super Lig club in winter due to some issues with board members and coaching staff.
Egypt international joined the London club just over three-and-a-half-years ago for a fee of £5m. It looks as though the Gunners have the opportunity to make a profit on the star. Egyptian midfielder could be a solid midfield option for the Italian club, the footballer is physically stronger than Ismail Bennacer and Lucas Biglia.
Perhaps, new coach, Stefano Pioli is eyeing a defensive-minded anchorman to add stability to his squad. The Spanish tactician has made three appearances across all tournaments for the Turkish club so far this campaign, Elneny will be hoping to get some more minutes under his belt so he can secure a permanent move to a top club.
Mohamed’s start to life in Super Lig didn’t get off to the best of starts, he was sent off on his debut. The defensive midfielder was used mainly as a rotation option during his time in Arsenal, but it seemed that Unai Emery included him in the deadwood that he wished to clear from the Emirates Stadium this summer.
