Old Lady enter the battle for €100m-rated Man United transfer target
Red Devils reportedly look ready to face strong competition for the Christian Eriksen transfer as Juventus enter the running to snap the Tottenham attacker up on a free.
The 27-year-old star is in the final year of his contract with Spurs and is still being linked with a possible move to Real Madrid this transfer window as Spanish clubs have until September 2nd to add footballers.
The transfer window is closed for Premier League clubs, however, which puts Man United in a difficult position after targeting Christian in recent times. It has been claimed that Eriksen would favour a move abroad, and it now looks like Bianconeri are joining Los Blancos in the chase for Denmark international’s signature.
Old Lady have made an approach to the attacker about a free transfer move next year, in a bid to sign to their recent excellent record in that department. It stays to be seen if Danish star would accept staying at Tottenham for another year as he’s seemed keen to leave this transfer window, and a move to the Madrid surely stays a possibility.
Red Devils will have to hope they don’t end up losing Paul Pogba to Bernabeu instead, while their potential replacement in Christian Eriksen ends up elsewhere. Last season Danish attacker played 51 matches, scored ten goals and provided 17 assists in all competitions.
Juventus already signed Adrien Rabiot from PSG, Aaron Ramsey from Arsenal, Matthijs de Ligt from Ajax, Danilo from Man City, Christian Romero from Genoa, Luca Pellegrini from Roma, Merih Demiral from Sassuolo and Gianluigi Buffon from PSG during this summer.
