Parisians keep a close eye on €25m-rated Man United transfer target

Parisians are planning to launch a bid for Everton footballer Idrissa Gueye, who has also been on Man United’s radar this year. The Senegalese player has been one of the most consistent performers in the Premier League in recent campaigns, earning widespread praise while serving in a holding midfield role for Everton.

Idrissa racked up 33 Premier League appearances in total last term, helping the Toffees finish eighth in the final standings and his performs caught the attention of Red Devils. Man United were plotting a summer move for Gueye back in May, but their interest has cooled since then amid links with numerous top footballers across Europe.

The French club are now ready to submit a £27m offer for Senegal international, with Red Devils now set to miss out on yet another target. Toffees ace is keen on securing a switch to Parc des Princes, despite being under contract at Goodison Park until 2022.

PSG manager Thomas Tuchel is aiming to improve his squad in midfield, and although Everton are reluctant to sell a prized asset, the French club are prepared to test their resolve with an opening offer. This latest news represents another blow to Man United transfer plans, as Solskjær continues a summer rebuild at the Theatre of Dreams.

The 29-year-old midfielder could have been a perfect signing to Solskjaer’s squad given his experience in the Premier League, but it now looks as though he will be plying his trade in PSG next season. Parisians already signed Pablo Sarabia from Sevilla, Ander Herrera from Man United and Marcin Bulka from Chelsea.
