Red Devils in the hunt for €50m-rated technically gifted footballer

Red Devils have been given a boost in their pursuit of Real Betis and Argentina superstar Giovani Lo Celso after it was reported that the midfielder is keen to join them despite Spurs being interested in him. Argentina international has informed Betis that he wants to seal a move to Man United this transfer window.

However, it doesn’t seem like this deal is going to be easy for the Red Devils, as Spanish club are said to be after £60m for Giovani as a price that Man United aren’t willing to pay. Paying £60m for the midfielder like Lo Celso is a tad risky, but the reward will be very much worth it, as he is currently one of the most promising stars in La Liga.

Last year, Argentine midfielder bagged 16 goals and six assists in all tournaments, as he helped Real Betis reach the semi-finals of the Copa Del Rey and achieve a top-half finish in La Liga. The 23-year-old footballer’s brilliant passing range and knack of scoring from midfield would make him a great player for Man United to have in their squad.

Lo Celso is a regular member of the national team line-up and also helped them to finish the 2019 Copa America in a third position. Man United already signed Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace and Daniel James from Swansea this summer.

Red Devils also linked with Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale, Borussia Dortmund forward Jadon Sancho, Sporting attacker Bruno Fernandes, Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic, Leicester City centre-back Harry Maguire and Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana.
