Revealed reason why €25m-rated forward left Arsenal this transfer window
Gunners attacker Henrikh Mkhitaryan has revealed that he was so desperate to leave the London club this transfer window that, when he learnt of Roma’s interest, Armenia international didn’t even bother to ask about money.
Henrikh sealed a temporary departure from Arsenal this summer, with the former Man United man joining Serie A club Roma on loan. And following this move, Mkhitaryan has come out and revealed just how desperate he was to seal a step away from the Emirates Stadium ahead of the transfer deadline.
The 30-year-old attacker has given up more than half of his weekly wage to move to Italian giants, with the footballer himself stating that “I got a call from my agent and I wanted to come because it was a good chance for me. I didn’t even discuss with my agent about money.”
Given that Armenian star seemingly didn’t care about money at all in regards to his loan move to Giallorossi, it looks as if Henrikh was desperate to seal a step away from the London club by any means necessary.
It’ll be interesting to see how Mkhitaryan fairs during his loan spell in the Stadio Olimpico, and whether Roma’d be willing to go back in for him next summer.
Armenian attacker will surely look too impressive during his time with the Italian club, as he surely looks to put himself in the shop window ahead of future transfer windows to try and end his nightmare stint in Arsenal once and for all.
