Serie A giants are closely monitoring €40m-rated Arsenal midfielder
Reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Granit Xhaka is yet to open negotiations with Serie A club AC Milan regarding a move to the San Siro. Switzerland international will likely ask to leave Arsenal in the winter window, with the midfielder being linked with a move to Newcastle as a result.
Granit has also been linked with a move Rossoneri, with the news outlet even going as far to say that the footballer is looking for a house in Serie A giants ahead of his move, with fans of football betting sure to be placing a few quid on his imminent departure by now.
However, recent reports look to be contradicting this, as Fabrizio Romano has stated that, Xhaka is yet to open talks with the Italian club regarding a move to Milan in winter. Rossoneri are ready to turn their attentions to other midfield targets for the January window, news that won’t come as good news for Gunners, or the 27-year-old player.
The Swiss midfielder looks to have been frozen out of the London club set-up recently after being stripped of Arsenal captaincy by Spanish manager.
Granit leaving is the probably going to be the best scenario for all sides at this point and when you consider he’s most likely fallen out of favour with the Gunners fans following his actions during the clash with Crystal Palace earlier this campaign.
However, it doesn’t look like Xhaka is going to swapping Arsenal for Milan any time soon if Romano’s information is to be believed.
