Serie A giants in pole position to sign €20m-rated Chelsea centre-forward

Olivier Giroud has demanded a three-year deal from Inter Milan, the centre-forward seems ready to leave Chelsea at the end of the campaign. Nerazzurri have just put a two-year deal on the table for France international so far, as the striker is 33 years old, should Antonio Conte’s side give in to the centre-forward’s demands.

The report adds that Olivier is out of a deal with Blues at the end of the campaign, the target-man has experienced a lesser role with Chelsea this term. Giroud has shared the responsibility of being Tammy Abraham’s backup with Michy Batshuayi this campaign, the striker has played 13 games across all tournaments this campaign.

The 33-year-old striker was close to a move to the San Siro in the winter transfer window, but Inter Milan ultimately decided to focus their cash on the signing of Christian Eriksen from Spurs. The French striker played a vital role in the FA Cup fifth-round win over Reds before finding the back of the net last time out in the 4-0 thrashing of Everton.

While game time was rare for the star at the start of the campaign, Olivier has managed to get himself some valuable minutes since Tammy Abraham was injured. While Olivier just has three goals from his 13 games for the Blues this campaign, the striker still looks more than capable of being an important figure for a top European club like Inter.

Inter Milan signed several players during the summer transfer window like Romelu Lukaku from Man United, Diego Godin from Atletico Madrid, Nicolo Barella from Cagliari, Stefano Sensi from Sassuolo, Gabriel Brazao from Parma and Valentino Lazaro from Hertha BSC.
