Serie A giants interested in signing 21-year-old Gunners defender

Krystian Bielik has never played in the Premier League for Gunners, but U21 Poland international has become a surprise transfer target for AC Milan this transfer window. Bielik, who can operate in central defence of defensive midfield, spent last campaign on loan at Charlton in League One, catching the eye at the Valley.

Krystian played 31 matches as Charlton won promotion to the Championship, earning the Man of the Match award in the play-off final against Sunderland. However, Spanish manager does not see him coming into his first team plans just yet and wants to send the starlet out on loan again this campaign.

The Pole disagrees, feeling he is set to make the step up and is ready to leave the London club to find regular top-flight action elsewhere. Arsenal are not keen to let the 21-year-old defender go, but if a sizable bid comes in for his services, then they may be tempted, with his deal expiring in 2021.

Polish centre-back has made his decision clear, saying recently: ‘My future is unknown, but there is one thing I can say for sure: I will not go back to Arsenal Under-23 team. ‘At this stage, it wouldn’t make sense. If I do not receive the chance to join the first team permanently, I will have to look for other solutions.

‘I feel like a senior footballer now, so I want to play senior football.’ Krystian’s coach at Charlton, Lee Bowyer, was thoroughly impressed by his versatility, believing that playing in defence was ‘too easy’ for the Polish man, who also moved into midfield.
