Serie A giants started talks with 21-year-old Liverpool transfer target

Liverpool and Napoli want KRC Genk midfielder Sander Berge. Serie A giants want to secure the services of Norway international. Carlo Ancelotti wants to strengthen the midfielder and ready to spend considerable money next summer. Belgian club’s sporting director Dimitri De Conde said: “Napoli are interested in him, it’s a possibility.

“We also know that Reds are also interested and Jurgen Klopp, after the game at Anfield in the UCL, complimented him on his display. “There are teams in Serie A who are following Berge and Napoli could be one of them, but at this stage, there are no offers on the table.

“From next week, things could change. We haven’t had any official contact with Napoli yet.” Sander is a very talented and promising youngster who can only get better in the coming months. Berge has scored two goals in 15 league games and has played in four Champions League games so far this campaign.

The 21-year-old midfielder is still developing and progressing as a player, and the footballer will make Liverpool a better team. Following the recent UCL game between Liverpool and KRC Genk, Jurgen told the Norwegian midfielder that he is “an exciting player”.

Sander Berge, who is reported to be rated at £25m, was pleased to have received the compliment from the Liverpool coach, as quoted in the British tabloid. Napoli started this season excellently as they are in a 7th place in the Serie A table. Italian club signed several players this summer like Kostas Manolas, Hirving Lozano and Fernando Llorente.
