Solskjaer handed £100m to sign Bundesliga No.7
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made signing Jadon Sancho his top priority in the upcoming January transfer window.
Manchester United wanted to sign the England international this summer, but Borussia Dortmund refused to cash in on their prized asset.
The Red Devils have been keeping a close eye on the 19-year-old’s rapid rise in Germany and were ready to make a move. But BVV stood firm and told the Premier League that they would even entertain offers for the teenager. Dortmund have now rewarded Jadon Sancho with a new deal worth around £190,000 per week.
But The Sun is reporting that Manchester United are ready to make a new move and will test the German club’s resolve once more in winter. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be given £100 million to spend in the next window, and the United boss has made Jadon Sancho his top target.
A source at United told The Sun: ‘The money is certainly there and Ole knows that. ‘Everyone knows January is always a difficult market, but if it’s the difference between keeping United in the top-four mix, the owners won’t hesitate to back the manager.’
Meanwhile Manchester United are trying to finalise the loan deal for Alexis Sanchez with Serie A club Inter keen on signing the winger for Antonio Conte.
Inter have already signed Romelu Lukaku from Old Trafford club for mesmerising transfer fee and now want to bolster further their side, and the arrival of Chile international could fit Antonio Conte’s tactics.
