Spanish club held negotiations with €100m-rated Chelsea superstar

Los Blancos are reportedly very close to agreeing on a deal for the transfer of Chelsea superstar N’Golo Kante. The 28-year-old midfielder has been a hugely important footballer for the London club in recent years, and his departure would be a big blow for the Blues.

Still, it looks it could be on the cards as La Liga giants are closing in on a big-money deal to sign N’Golo from the London club, which would go through next campaign. The report states Kante will cost as much as £127m, so Blues will at least receive a huge amount of cash from letting their star footballer go.

London club supporters won’t be too pleased, however, as they only recently had to see another star footballer in Eden Hazard make a move to the Spanish club. The Belgian superstar left London club in the summer and has no doubt been missed by Blues in this frustrating and inconsistent campaign.

Losing France international would be another big step back for Chelsea, who have had to build around youngsters this term increasingly. The likes of Mason Mount and Callum Hudson-Odoi have helped ensure Eden hasn’t always been too badly missed, but it stays to be seen if there’s anyone at the club capable of offering them what Kante does.

Real Madrid have fantastic consequences in La Liga this campaign as they are leading the table. Los Blancos signed several footballers during the summer transfer window like Luka Jovic from Eintracht Frankfurt, Rodrygo Goes from Santos, Eder Militao from Porto, Ferland Mendy from Lyon and Alphonse Areola from PSG.
