The stats shows that Arsenal midfielder is leading the Premier League

According to the Squawka, Arsenal central midfielder Mohamed Elneny is leading the Premier League in pass accuracy this season.

After 17 games of the season, the Egyptian midfielder has impressed through his economical use of the ball, providing an impressive 93% pass accuracy.

Elneny is leading the charts of players to have attempted a minimum of 300 balls this season, having completed 384 passes out of 401 attempts.

The 24-year-old midfielder has featured in nine Premier League games in 2016/17, as battles with the likes of Santi Cazorla, Granit Xhaka, Aaron Ramsey and Francis Coquelin for a place in his first full season at Arsenal.

However, the distribution of Mohamed Elneny has not been overly effective in an attacking sense, having created just three chances for his teammates.

The Egypt international has also displayed a stunning 97% pass accuracy in the Champions League, albeit from a much smaller sample size of 71 balls.

Meanwhile, Tottenham midfield star Mousa Dembele (91.4%) ranks in second position in Squawka’s Premier League rankings, edging ahead of the Citizens’ summer signing Ilkay Gundogan (91.3%).
