Tony Cascarino urges Liverpool to sign €55m-rated Premier League star

Tony Cascarino thinks that Wilfried Zaha would be a fine addition to Merseyside club’s front-line. The 27-year-old winger has featured in 24 games for Crystal Palace, scoring three goals while providing as many assists so far. Tony said that Ivory Coast international would be a great signing for the Merseyside club.

Cascarino: “I went to Selhurst Park a couple of campaigns ago, and I watched Reds with the Eagles, and the German tactician was continually on to Trent Alexander-Arnold about keeping on Wilfried. I came away from the match thinking Jurgen, with the way he plays, would be interested in a someone like Wilf.

“He got a penalty that day, he got in behind Trent and won a penalty. I think he’d be a player who would fit in well at Liverpool because he doesn’t stop running.” In this campaign, Zaha already played 24 matches, scored three goals and provided three assists across all tournaments.

Merseyside club already have a pretty strong front-line and Zaha would be a suitable backup. The Ivorian forward has been linked to Chelsea lately with a report from Don Balon claiming that the London club are willing to sell Marcos Alonso and use the money to sign the Crystal Palace forward for £77m.

The 27-year-old forward produced a fine performance with Man City yesterday as the Eagles drew 2-2. They are now ninth in the Premier League table with 30 points, nine behind the top four. Crystal Palace’s next fixture is with Southampton at Selhurst Park on Tuesday, and they’ll be hoping to secure another three points.
