UCL giants in pole position to sign €80m-rated Man United star
Bianconeri could reportedly be open to including one of their stars in a footballer exchange proposal to Red Devils in an attempt to re-sign Paul Pogba. It’s been a frustrating season for France international as he has been limited to only eight games so far this campaign due to ongoing injury troubles.
Before that, while it’s widely acknowledged that he is a world-class footballer when in form, his inconsistency has been an issue in his second spell at Theatre of Dreams, and it has led to constant scrutiny and criticism from some pundits and supporters alike, which at times has arguably been unfair.
Nevertheless, with the signing of Bruno Fernandes in winter coupled with the exciting options that the Norwegian manager has in the front-line, pairing all that together with Paul when he’s fully fit is perhaps his priority, for now, to help the Red Devils enjoy a successful end to the season.
However, speculation over the 27-year-old playmaker’s future refuses to go away, as the Old Lady sporting director Fabio Paratici is assessing his options to try and prise the Frenchman back to Juventus.
It’s suggested that the Bianconeri would be willing to bid either Adrien Rabiot or Douglas Costa in a swap deal to bring the French midfielder’s transfer fee down, but it stays to be seen if either appeal to the Old Trafford to persuade them to entertain talks.
Adrien could arguably be a sensible consideration as Rabiot offers a replacement in midfield to fill the void immediately, although after an underwhelming couple of years at Paris and now Juventus, it’s questionable as to whether he’d be the perfect option.
