UCL giants in the battle to sign €80m-rated Man United star

Los Blancos are trying to tempt Red Devils into letting Paul Pogba go this summer by making a quartet of footballers available as part of a swap deal. La Liga giants have been pursuing France international since last summer and will reignite their interest in this summer transfer window, although it is unclear when that will open due to the covid crisis.

The covid crisis has caused economic uncertainty throughout football, so in a bid to avoid offering huge amounts of money for Paul, Real Madrid are willing to put four footballers forward as part of the deal. Martin Odegaard is the most appealing of the four names, with Vazquez, James Rodriguez and Brahim Diaz all also reportedly on offer.

Man United are unlikely to be tempted by the offer, with coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer now planning to reintegrate Pogba into the first team after missing much of the campaign through injury.

The 27-year-old midfielder has not started a game since September, but he is reportedly fit again after his ongoing ankle problem and will be available when the Premier League starts again due to be in June.

The Norwegian manager is excited by the prospect of lining the French star up in midfield with winter signing Bruno Fernandes, a partnership which has Red Devils supporters drooling at the prospect of.

The duo have trained together this week, and after Portugal international’s blistering start to life in the PL, they have the potential to form a dynamic midfield trio alongside either Fred, Scott McTominay or Nemanja Matic.
