UCL giants started negotiations with €20m-rated Chelsea winger
Juventus are reportedly planning to swoop for Pedro if he leaves Blues on a free transfer this summer when his deal expires. Former Spain international joined the London giants from Barcelona in 2015 and has gone on to score 43 goals and provide 28 assists in 201 games for the Blues.
While Pedro has undoubtedly been a crucial figure and a valuable part of the squad, as things stand, he’s ready to leave Blues this summer on a free transfer. For Lampard, it might be a case of finding long-term solutions and continuing to stamp his mark on the Blues squad and so Pedro’s exit may help with that, with Hakim Ziyech arrive this summer.
It’s unclear when that will happen currently as while his contract expires at the end of June, the PL campaign is ready to restart on June 17, and so it’s expected that an extension could be agreed upon which will keep him at the London club until the season is completed, as will be the case across the board for footballers in same circumstances.
Nevertheless, Rodriguez could have an intriguing option when the time comes to decide on his longer-term future, as the Old Lady are interested in the Spanish star if he is available on a free. So a reunion with Maurizio Sarri could be on the cards ahead of next campaign.
It’s added that his deal demands will be manageable for the reigning Serie A champions and so they could now rival the Giallorossi for his signature. At the same time, it’s not ruled out that he could perhaps feature in a swap deal agreed between the two clubs.
